“I’m one with the Force. The Force is with me.” — Chirrut Îmwe
It took me almost 25 years to finally sit down and watch all of the Star Wars movies (well almost all)! I can’t believe it took me this long but I’m so happy I finally gave this franchise a chance.
When quarantine barley started back in March, my siblings and I thought it would be fun to have a movie night each week. But we couldn’t agree on a movie all together until I suggested watching all of the Star Wars movies…none of us had watched any of them well expect for my little brother. Yes, my 14 year old brother had seen more Star Wars than my 24 year old self!
We instantly fell in love with R2-D2 and C-3PO! And we wished we could fly the Millennial Falcon with Chewie and Han Solo. Everything I thought about Stars Wars being boring and too complex to understand, I was completely wrong!
One night turned into to a series of back and to back Star Wars Marathon! We were completely hooked and obsessed with Star Wars in a matter of days. Now we understood why our friends and uncle love Star Wars!
As you guys know, my siblings and I love Disney! Whenever we visit family in California, our trip isn’t complete until we visit Disneyland. Whenever we go to Disneyland, we would always cut through Adventureland to Fantasyland/ToonTown without giving much thought about the Star Wars area. Ironically, in the Summer of 2017 we took our brother to see the Star Wars attractions for the first time.
As we were looking around,he told us everything and anything related to Star Wars. Literally, Liz, Rubi & I didn’t really care since we didn’t see the movies but we were speechless when we met Chewie. He was so freaking tall and hairy in person! (The post picture is us, completely clueless but happy taking a picture with Chewie!)
“The Force will be with you. Always.” — Obi-Wan Kenobi
Little did we know, 3 years later we would unexpectedly become Star War nerds and become obsessed with everything Star Wars related! Like today! Now we can say, “May the Force Be with You,” and actually know what that means!
If you haven’t watched Star Wars yet for whatever reason….that’s okay but let me put you onto one of the greatest movie franchise ever created. It make take a while for you to get into it or you might just love it right away but just give it a chance. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
As for my siblings and I….better believe we are watching the newest Star Wars movie that was released today on Disney +! We regret not give Star Wars a chance earlier because if we had, we would’ve definitely watched the movies in theater and gone to the Star Wars attractions.
We can’t wait for this quarantine to be over so we can go to Star Wars Land and buy freakin’ lightsabers!
